ACADEMIC COLLABORATION

Introductory
Although Japan extensive diplomatic efforts in improving bilateral relationships with Arabian countries, it seems that the image of the Arab world is still ambivalent. Thus it is believed that actions of sharing knowledge across boarders are important for building mutually beneficial and academic reciprocal relationships between Japan and Arabia in the education arena.
Students can achieve more than they could have achieved on their own when they collaborate across borders. Academic collaboration can make breakthroughs in research and development laboratory.
By the cooperation of our colleagues in educational sector, we were able to initiate several collaborative academic projects between Japan and Arabia.

[serBOTinQ] Service-robot Incubation hub, is one of research core for products design in Tokyo Metropolitan University.

[Serbot: Service robots] It is what service robots can provide to human by technology use & Entities products development.

The purpose is research and development, commercialization, and practical application of robotics service that coexist with humans. We combine the knowledge of the university and the technology of the company that is a joint research institute, propose a system using design thinking, and practice hypothesis verification by prototyping corresponding to user experience (UX).

UX & Design Thinking
Workshop

Research UX-based design requirement extraction and evaluation from the perspective of people who use robotic service.

MVP
Workshop

Prototype ideas derived from user experience (UX) using design thinking method of ideation from (UX).

Imaginative Development
Workshop

provide an introductory to design thinking for brand and packaging image development by prototyping ideas from (UX).
